Day 2.

Good Morning! Figured I would write this before I have to go into work.
Otherwise I might forget. Plus, the best place to blog is from your own
cozy bed, propped up on pillows. Mmmmm. :)

day 2- the meaning behind your blog name
I named my blog 'Life Sense' for a couople reasons.
1. Nobody had it.
2. Life doesn't make sense, but this is me trying to figure out how to
make sense of my own life.

Hope my sense, makes sense for everyone else. :)

That's the short post for this morning.
Maybe more after work. I'm off to serve coffee to the caffeine deprived!

I get to use the $25 for something!

I can't choose between a sunnies case or a notebook.
Leaning towards the notebook.
Help me decide! Go here to look at the options.
Anyone have any suggestions?

DIY Office/Guest Bedroom

The time has come where our roommate is moving out this next week.
It will be sad to see her gone, but I do have great visions for the bedroom.
I am going to back to school to get my event planning certificate and honestly there
really is no place in our apartment to study the way I need it.
So I have decided to attack that room into making it my office/guest bedroom.
I want to do this project based solely off of thrift stores and craigslist.
Oh and A LOT of spray paint. :)
I've been following Cecelia's blog 'sincerely, cecelia' for a while now.
She always puts up some great inspirational things for food, furniture,
clothing, basically anything. I love it! Well a while ago she put up a post on
chalkboards and do-it-yourself chalkboards.
She posted a GREAT idea from b*spoke about taking
an old frame and painting the backing with chalk paint and the frame a
different color. I'm so excited! I'll keep everyone updated on before and after's.

There were 10 stamps! All the way from the Philipines!!
I recently ordered from Wiyomu. Thanks to my dear friend Sharla for
introducing me to her shop. Her items are beautiful!
I just got my purchase in the mail TODAY!
Simple, yet pretty packaging. Even came with a note!
Just so everyone knows, she is currently offering a 'Buy one, get one half off' deal right now.

P.S. I'm craving this beauty now.... always had a thing for lockets.

Most of you have figured out I am obsessed with do-it-yourself things right now.
I also love thrift store hunting for things (but that's a different story for a different time).
I currently discovered Michelle's blog 'Vintage Junky'.
It is so ME! Well her friend Lindsey of 'The Pleated Poppy' is currently doing a give-away and I figured, the more the merrier!
I would LOVE to use the $25 credit for

This notebook. I am horrible with address's.

This 'sunnies' case. Goodness I am terrible at keeping my sunglasses scratch free!

Hope you enter the give-away! I know I did!

Farmers Market

Hello, my name is Ana and I am a farmers market junkie.
"Hello, Ana."
It's true.
-end of story.

Just kidding, kind of. So ever since I left the Seattle area I've been craving a good market.
I was raised on this stuff! It's in my blood!
Sooooo after moving to Las Vegas, I started feeling the itch again for
'the market.'
I had to suppress that itch so I searched, let me tell you it was not easy to find a farmers market in the
But, I did it!
It's not necessarily what I am used to, it's definitely small, but growing rapidly.
I'm excited to be part of the shoppers while it's still at the beginnings. Getting to know them
is exciting. It's like a farmer/customer relationship and I love it.

The farmers at the market have great items, there just isn't
quite the variety I like. I still have to purchase a few things from the grocery store.
But, my coworker introduced me to a Mario Batali run farmers market,
it has the variety I want, but not at the prices I need. Needless to say we still purchased a few things
while we were there. Goodness, they are D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.!
I don't think the photos will do them justice, but it's the only way I can think
of describing them.

Tomatoes are some of my favorite fruits/veggies.

Yes that is fondue, whip cream and the sweetest strawberries EVER.

See what I mean? Photo's speak for themselves.

Shoe sin.

Saw these at Target for $29.99buuuuut I couldn't bring myself to buy them. There was something missing.
Saw these in the same grey and just about died! Last ones, in MY size. It had to be. Oh and they were $14!!
Dog agrees it was fate. Apparently they taste good....hmmm.
He approves. (Please excuse the unmade bed. It's laundry day)

Anyone as obsessed with Etsy as I am? I am in love. This is a problem (at least my husband thinks so).
So our new friends Becky and Keith are great! Lo and behold, I find out Becky has an Etsy shop....
My niece Aubrey is turning the big 1 on October 1st this year and I have been looking for the best keepsake present since I found this cute knit dress at Target.

Cute, right?

What better than Becky's dancing frog hand knit frog?!

Thank you Becky!!

Now my friend put up on her facebook this latest etsy find.

I gave in.
Yes. It's mine.

Candles, Christmas and Cars! Oh my!

This is going to be a combined post of things as of late.

1) I'm trying to be more crafty.

Here is a sneak preview of my self made Christmas decorations (Got them from Mt. Charleston on our hike!)
'Cranberry' paint with gold glitter on top

2) I LOVE candles. What I love even more, is candle holders. I love how sensual they can be or bold or whimsical. They can come in all shapes, sizes, colors, textures. Just like candles.
Left (original) Right (after)

Bought these from Kohls for about $7 total. I haven't decided if I am going to paint them even more and keep them as Christmas candle holders. The possibilities are ENDLESS.

All my projects this week. :)
 I feel so accomplished now!

3) So lil' red (as she is known) my '99 Toyota Corolla is well, almost 12 years old already. It was time for an upgrade.
This is the upgrade. Except mine is pearly white.

I'd say it's been a pretty successful week.

I have a problem.

Anybody else have this problem? I love blogs, it's true. BUT, I love reading blogs and not updating my own. I find myself over at Lemonade Makin' Mama just reading away. I start thinking, 'I could do that or WOW, that's so simple!" But I never get to blogging on my own blog. To bad we aren't near the New Year, because this might be a resolution for me. Maybe I'll make it a 'Fall' resolution, new season, same thing right? Yeah.
I will be better! I promise. Oh I just ordered a couple things from Ruche. Just to keep you on your toes. :)
Until later,
