Friday Favorites

This Friday's Favorites are a little late. Actually I have about 15minutes until Friday turns into Saturday. Better make this quick! Enjoy.

Ray-Ban Original Wayfarer
I've wanted a pair of the original Ray-Ban's for a while now. They look super cute on my face (I'm told) and I actually really enjoy wearing them.

LemonadeMakin'Mama has done it again!
This lady has got the CUTEST items in her little Etsy shop. I've been lusting after one of everything she makes for quite some time. I follow her and her inspirational blog here.
Mossimo Mary Jane Wedges
I'm not normally a huge target shoe fan, but this season there are quite a few cute ones I'm craving. These I would love in the camel brown they have. I tried them on and they are definitely high on my comfort scale!
Galvanized Metal Modular Bath Storage
Leave it up to Pottery Barn to make me lust after something else in their store! Thankfully my wonderful Mama sent Josh and I a P.B. gift card for our anniversary last month....so I bought this. It will be shipped to our home next week. I am excited.andhappy.andstilldrooling.

Last favorites for this month! Seeing as my mind has been all over the place this past week, I felt a post expressing such was necessary. See you all in September!

P.S. It's now 11:59pm here! Made it! Yes!

Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites is back again! First official day of Fall is today! Yippee! To bad it's still in the high 90's here in Las Vegas. Blech. Well this Fall 'favorites' will be in honor of what I am dreaming of right now.

This adorable necklace is PERFECT for my dreams of Fall.

Fall Burlap Banner from SheriSewSweet
How cute is this? It would be perfect with our Fall decorations. Makes my heart go pitter-patter.

Apple Cider Wreath from The Bakers Daughter
I'm really picky about wreaths in general and this one is exactly what I have been looking for..Wonder if I could convince the hubby? Hmm...Oh and the name of it is Apple Cider Wreath! -SWOON-

I would definitely rock this outfit for fall! Looks so comfy and fun!

Infinity Scarf from Shanionie
I'm not much for wearing orange, but buttercup yellow is more my cup of tea. This scarf is perfect and it already looks perfect to cozy up next to a fire with a good book.

Serendipity Chic!

So I have been keeping a little secret from you lately. Nothing to big. Just a 'little' secret. I have been making things..okay pretty cute things. Why don't I just show you?
Here goes!

These are all flowers which can be made to accessorize your outfit, purse or even hair! So there you go, my secret is out! I've started my own Etsy store to sell these and I am pretty darn excited about it!
Don't forget to check it out!

From a Distance

Paper Heart Camera is hosting another photo challenge this week with the subject of:
From a Distance
The photo which comes to mind is the one I took when we were camping. This little lady was sitting down the side of the mountain from our camping spot on a log just taking in the breathtaking scenery.
Later after she left, I went down and did the same. Let me tell you, she had the right idea in mind, those few minutes of peace were exactly what I needed.

A photo I am proud of

I am linking up with Allie Photography for this weeks photo theme of:

A Photo You Are Proud Of
This photo tends to come to mind for that....
Taken on our Mexican honeymoon over two years ago now.
I relax just looking at it...

Friday Favorites

Back for another Friday Favorites! Hope your week was splendid and not to overwhelming, exhausting or down right dull! Mine wasn't! It has definitely been an interesting challenge figuring out what I can and cannot eat. As well as frustrating, wring my fingers in the air have a quick break down and result in potato bread, toasted with jam. Does that paint a pretty picture for you? Anyway, we should probably get on with our here previously scheduled program, shall we?

Today's Favorites come not from Etsy, but from my real life store I have a slight MAJOR love affair with......

Drumroll please......prrrrrrr (<---that's my online drumroll) rrrrrrrrrrrr

And the crowds go wild!!! Wait...wrong post. Maybe.
But yes, the homegoods store. I had never even heard of one until I stepped foot into one here in Las Vegas! Let me tell you, my heart stopped a bit and then speed up REALLY REALLY fast! I fell in goodbyehoneyIwillbepitchingAtent here LOVE.  So without further adieu here are a few photos of my favorite things I took of while I was drooling snail all over the store.
(Disclaimer: These are iPhone photos, sorry for the quality)
I love ANYTHING industrial or vintage looking and this is the BEST of both worlds.

There were quite a few of them for different parts of the home.

I love the galvanized metal on it, it's just the perfect mix of vintage high school and down home country. But the wood is actually more of driftwood, sandy-grey looking. I LOVE it!

LOVE the rope drawer pulls on this.

Their pillow section is my playground. -Swoon-

I really wanted to take this chair home with me. It was the perfect reading chair!
 Are you drooling yet?

Driftwood wall

I am DETERMINED to make one of these when we move closer to the ocean. How beautiful is that?! I would hang photos on it vintage frames.

So there you have my heaven-on-earth of Homegoods. If you find one in your area...GO GO GO! My next adventure is Hobby Lobby. I JUST found out there is one in town (30min away!) and it is an amazing craft store mainly from the east coast and south. Can't wait to show you photos of that trip!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Put your feet up and relax!

201!

So this here little blog of mine has reached 200 and ONE posts! Wa-hoo, I'm doing a little jig! I forgot to debut the 200th post, but that doesn't mean the 201st post isn't JUST as important.
Lately life has been a bit irritating in the health department. This past year I have gotten four, count that, FOUR sinus infections, multiple rashes (which isn't anything new for me) and have gotten bronchitis on top of it all. It's been a pretty ummm, adventurous? year. If I do say so myself. Actually just annoying. Growing up I've always been known to have sensitive skin. As a kid I would get random rashes, whether on my face, arms or stomach. Normally hydrocortisone cream from the doctor would make anything go away pretty quick, with the last rash I had in May/June, that wasn't the case. I tried everything and nothing helped, in fact it spread. (Sorry, not a pretty picture, but it's reality). Well after a little insisting and a referral to an allergist, I have been getting allergy tested since early August. Lots of picking and prodding and needles...blech! Lets just say I don't do so hot with needles (well actually it all gets hot and then things start spinning and and and... You get the picture). For a little over a month I got no results back, with the exception of a mosquito allergy, but that's a duh. Well this past Monday we finally got a few results, I say a few very liberally.

Here is my 'list' of what I am allergic to:
Avocados (I cried)-

Oats and Rye-
(There goes my steel cut oatmeal)

Lentils & Lima Beans-
(Random, I KNOW)

Spinach & Radishes-
(There goes my delicious and healthy sandwich options!)

OLIVES!!-
(If I wasn't sobbing before, I am now!)

Beets & Oranges-
(Our orange juice consumption just took a nosedive! I drank 2-3 glasses a day!)

So there it is. In plain words. I am allergic to everything delicious and good in the world. This is going to be a new lifestyle for me and it's not going to be easy. I had carrot sticks on my lunch break at work today for the first time. I tried to find a salad to eat, but every single one had an item in it I couldn't have. This is going to be a lot harder than I thought.

Does anyone have any tips? I am willing to take anything at this point.

Thanks for listening to my rant!
